News from Amethyst Center:On November 4 th, 2006, Amethyst Center hosted their second annual Nourish Your Wellbeing fundraiser to support the Somerville Homeless Coalition . At our open house, practitioners donated samplings of their services in acupuncture, acupressure, massage, blood-pressure screenings, Reiki and other energy work to the community to support the Somerville Homeless Coalition. We look forward to supporting them again at our ArtBeat fundraiser in July of 2007. Coming in February….A Chinese New Year Event. In honor of the Chinese New Year Day, and to benefit the work of Acupuncturists Without Borders, I will be hosting a community-style acupuncture event at my office on February 18 th, 2007. Acupuncturists Without Borders has been providing stress relief to hurricane survivors and relief workers with acupuncture treatments since September 2005. This event provides a great way to check out acupuncture, get a relaxing and stress-reducing treatment for a small donation, and help the people of Hurricane Katrina Survivors all at once!
